The Nasarawa state house of Assembly has passed a budget of #114.3 billion for the 2022 fiscal year.
Speaker of the house,Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi who disclosed this Wednesday during the house sitting at the Assembly complex Shendam road Lafia also said the budget was jerked up by #4.5 billion due an increase in sectoral allocations.
Balarabe Fürther explained that the increase in the sectoral allocations was to address some major issues that have direct bearing to the people of the state.
While commending the members of the Assembly for the speedy passage of the budget, Balarabe also urged them to maintain the tempo in the best interest of the Assembly and the state.
The speaker also used the opportunity to commend the consultants engaged by the ministries, Agencies and Departments for their contributions in speedy passage of the budget, further said such contributions would go along way in service delivery of the state.
It would be recalled that Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state on Thursday, December 9th ,2021 presented a budget of #109.8 billions to the state house of Assembly which was jerked up to #114.3 billion by the Assembly before passing into Law by the state lawmakers.
