Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has flagged- Off the construction of Idadu/ Agbashi road which contract was awarded at the sum of #3.2 billion.
The 24- kilometer road contract which was awarded to the Road and Bridge International Nigeria Limited is expected to be completed within 12 months.
Speaking at the occasion, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State while calling on the contractor handling the job to do thorough job also assured them of the prompt payment of the contract.
Governor Abdullahi Sule further appealed to the host Communities to support and cooperate with the contractor by ensuring that anybody found stealing or vandalising the company’s property are reported to the security agents for appropriate action.
On his part, Chairman Doma local government Council, Architect Ahmed Usman Sarki while assuring the governor of their unalloyed Support and cooperation to ensure the success of the project. also assured that their property would be guided jealously against vandalisation.
Architect Sarki used the occasion to appeal to Governor Abdullahi Sule to include Idadu/ Doma road in the contract which according to him, would go along way in tackling transportation problems faced by the people of the area.
The occasion which was held in Idadu, Ekye Development Area of the state had in attendance top government functionaries, traditional rulers amongst other dignitaries.
