Police, OPSH Confirm Kidnap Incident At Heipang, As One Has Been Arrested.

The authorities of the Plateau State Police Command, and Operation SAFE HAVEN, said they have fully mobilized their men to trail kidnappers who stormed Ban Village behind Plateau State Polytechnic Heipang On Wednesday night 12 January 2022.

The Military information officer, Major Takwa says the moment the kidnap incident was reported the trooos swiftly responded and on reaching the area, 3 persons were discovered to have been kidnapped.

According to him, the Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN Major General Ibrahim Ali has directed the troops to ensure the victims are rescued unharmed.

He equally urge the public to support the security agencies with credible information and report any suspicious movement in their vicinity for prompt action.

“Troops are currently on the trail of the kidnappers with a view to rescuing the victims”.

Similarly, the Police Public Relations Officer, told reporters on a telephone conversation that, the Plateau State Police Command is aware of the kidnap incident in Ban Village behind Plateau State Polytechnic Heipang on the 12/01/2022 at about 20:05hrs where three persons were abducted.

“Immediately the report was received, a team of Policemen of the Command and OPSH raced to the scene where one suspect was arrested.

“Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing to rescue the kidnapped victims and arrest other perpetrators of the act”
