CBN Remits #120 million As Tax To Nasarawa State Government. By Abdullahi Shuaibu, Lafia.

The Central Bank of Nigeria ( CBN) has remitted about #120 million to the Nasarawa State government as taxes.

Governor Abdullahi Sule who made the disclosure while hosting the delegation of Central Bank of Nigeria ( CBN ) who paid a courtesy visit to Governor Abdullahi Sule at government house Thursday also urged them to give more loans to the farmers in the state.

The governor who noted that Nasarawa is an Agricultural state also urged the CBN to always involve the state in the disbursement of loans which according to him would go along way in the development of Agricultural business In the state.

Governor’s Abdullahi Sule who used the occasion to announce that president Muhammadu Buhari would visit the state on 2- day working visit to the state also told his visitors that CBN complex in Bukan Sidi Area would be among the complex to be commissioned by Mr President during the visit.

Earlier, leader of the delegation, and the branch controller Lafia. Mr Samson Isuwa said they were in government house to commend governor Abdullahi Sule for the support he has been given to the bank since he assumed the mantle of leadership of the state about three years ago.

Isuwa used the occasion to inform the governor’s that the bank has remitted about #120 million as taxes to the state government.

He therefore assured the governor of the support and cooperation of the CBN to the government and people of Nasarawa State, and that as part of the CBN social responsibility to the state, the staff of the Bank contributed money and built a cottage clinic in Wamba local government Area of the state and pledged to do more to other communities in the state.
