Plateau Bye-election: ADC Optimistic, As Ismaila Rukuba Emerges Consensus Candidate.

The African Democratic Party, ADC in Plateau State has expressed optimism that it would come out victorious in the forth coming By-election for Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency slated for the 26th day of February, 2022.

The leader of the party and Chairman, ADC in Plateau State, His Excellency, Ambassador Sabiu Ibrahim Musa, the Galadiman Gini Jos disclosed this to Journalists shortly after the conduct of the party’s primary election held at the City Lodge Hotel in Jos, preparedly for the bye-election.

He said with the emergence of Alhaji Ismaila Rukuba, as the flag bearer of the ADC there is a brighter hope for the party, considering his pedigrees, and assurance to deliver the party.

He called on citizens of Nigeria to support ADC both from the grassroots to the presidential level, emphasising that the PDP and the ruling APC, have grossly failed Nigerians, and as such, the only option left in sustaining the country’s Democratic culture is to vote ADC to take over powers at all levels of government. Our correspondent reports that, the ADC primaries in Plateau State which was conducted under the supervision of the Independent National Electoral Commission, the National leadership of the party, observers and the Media, saw the emergence of the, Galadiman zaman Tare, Alhaji Ismaila Rukuba, as a consensus candidate through an affirmative voice votes.

Earlier in his addressing, chairman of the electoral committee and the national secretary of the party, Alhaji Sa’idu Baba Abdullahi said they were in Jos to complete the INEC ordered process for the forth coming Bye-election.

He said, ADC is becoming a credible and formidable party to recone with, as according to him, “Omicron has taken over other bigger parties, and the suitable alternative is to vote the ADC to serve you better.

While calling on the aspirant to be transparent in handling public affairs, he equally appeals to the electorates to remain patience and put their hands together to support the candidate to victory.

On his part, Alhaji Ismaila Rukuba commended delegates for sacrificing their time to come out to support him, promising not to let them down.

He reiterates the need for the people to vote ADC, in the forthcoming elections, promising that as a candidate, he will take everybody along during the campaigns, adding that if he eventually emerged as the Reps members he will use his position as a uniting factor to bring the people of Bassa and Jos North together where every citizen will peacefully coexist irrespective of party or religious affiliation.
